eastern electrics have lined up some of the industry’s most exciting names for huge May Bank Holiday party.
mulletover bring the noise in Room 1 with a four-hour marathon set from Hamburg legend DJ Koze. Famed for his minimal house sets, as well as his genre-splitting production, the diverse and unique DJ Koze owns the dancefloor wherever he goes.
Fresh from launching the festival season in March, the Bloc boys are bringing James Holden and Martyn to the fold in Room 2. Forward-thinking record label boss, eclectic remixer, producer and in-demand DJ – James Holden is electronic music’s very own superhero. He thrives on presenting the very best in genre-bending sounds, and young production talent. A DJ and producer whose sound is synonymous with cutting-edge dubstep, Martyn brings an artistic flair to his sets. His own love for Detroit techno, Chicago house and hip hop are audible throughout – as is his passion for drum’n’bass. This forward-thinking dub pioneer brings a considered and honest approach to his DJ sets – it’s all about the atmosphere for Martyn.
And finally, newcomers to eastern electrics, Benji B’s London monthly Deviation are jumping in at the deep end of bass, presenting Loefah and Braiden in Room 3. One third of DMZ, alongside Mala and Coki, and label boss of Swamp81, Loefah is a heavy hitter within the ‘subcultural bass’ and dubstep scenes. Maintaining underground credibility, while pushing the sound forward, Loefah’s production is innovative and influential. Braiden’s DJ style is pure rolling stone – never complacent enough to settle for any one genre, he’s an exhibitionist whose sets take in dubstep, future garage, UK funky and techno to dizzying effect.
