Irish-born artist Duncan Campbell makes films that demonstrate his interest in the seductive power of narrative. For the ICA’s on-going series, Artists’ Film Club, he will talk about and present extracts of his work, which, with a nod to Samuel Beckett’s humour, juxtaposes the inherent promise of storytelling with the breakdown of narrative and the inevitable disintegration of meaning. Campbell is based in Glasgow. He took part in the ICA’s Nought to Sixty and has shown at Artist Space, New York; Tramway, Glasgow; Kunstverein. Please note the talk is taking place in Cinema 1.
